Adding reclaimed elements to your home makes it look fabulous. Furthermore, it is a theme you can integrate not only into your bathroom but also in any room in your house. Are you doing bathroom renovations? Check out these reclaimed must-have items for everything from the plumbing to the fixtures.

1. Antique Chest of Drawers Vanity

Turning an antique chest of drawers into a vanity is easy. All you need to do is remove most drawers out of the chest, take out the box portion that holds clothes, then replace the face of the drawers. Also, remove the back of the drawers' chest.

Then, you just need to cut a hole in the top for a sink and plumb in the sink. The cavity you created in the chest of drawers creates room for the pipes to connect your sink to your home's plumbing.

2. Antique Tiles

If you like, you can add tiles to the top of the reclaimed chest of drawers turned vanity. While you can use any tiles, antique ones tend to be the most fun, and you can carry the look to the floor if you like.

Keep in mind that the antique tile market is full of one-off gems. You may not find enough matching tiles to cover your entire floor so be prepared for the possibility of mixing and matching unique tiles in a fun pattern on your floor.

3. Reclaimed Plumbing

When renovating an old bathroom, you can keep some of the original metal plumbing and turn it into something fun. For example, a few lengths of old plumbing pipes with some metal connectors can be mounted to the wall and used as a towel rack.

You can even use old plumbing pipes to create a circular curtain holder to hang over a freestanding tub or shower.

4. Wine Barrels

Old wine barrels can be a fun and relaxing addition to your renovated bathroom. Small barrels can work as sinks, or you can turn large barrels into personal soaking tubs. If you like, you can even use reclaimed wine barrels decoratively to hold towels or other items.

5. Antique Toilet

Even your toilet can be reclaimed if you like. There is a small market for antique toilets, and a designer or contractor can often help you install these old toilets, and they can also help to make them environmentally friendly. If you want an old chain toilet or an ornate porcelain antique, this may be something to consider
